Delivery & Commissioning

Delivery

To ensure the safety of the enamel, also to maintain continuity of service, we arrange the delivery of your Renovated Aga Cooker using our own vehicles or vehicles and drivers known and approved by us. You may however collect your Renovated Aga Cooker from the factory by pre-arrangement. Delivery charges may vary depending on location.

Site Inspection for Suitability

If you wish a site visit, you should request this from the independent fitter once we have confirmed your order. Obviously in some non-straightforward cases it is necessary to carry out a site visit prior to order which we can arrange. The cost varies dependent on location but averages £50 + VAT.

Final Building and Commissioning

The final building and commissioning on site is arranged by us on your behalf with one of several independent fitters whilst you are kept informed of all the details. All of the fitters are vetted by Aga-Twyford and will have built many Renovated Aga Cookers on our behalf. The fitting charges are a matter for discussion between yourself and the respective fitter, however the standard build and commission charges on a pre-prepared site are normally between £500 and £600 + Vat.

Flues and Plumbing Work

Normally, flue linings and plumbing works( other than those direct connections on the Renovated Aga Cooker ) are carried out by your own builder prior to the final building and commissioning, however some of our independent fitters will quote for these extra jobs on request. Full technical support is always available from Aga-Twyford regarding detailed specifications and measurements etc.

Important Flue Terminal Specifications

Please discuss flue terminations with us and/or your installer prior to final installation. The correct terminal must be used, i.e. O.H. or Vedette anti-downdraught cowls for gas ( GC-1 Gas Cowls are too restrictive for the latest CE Marked flue sensing devices ). Oil fired Agas should be fitted with similar style O.H. and/or Vedette cowls but manufactured specifically for Oil.

IMPORTANT NOTES REGARDING THE COMMISSIONING OF YOUR RENOVATED AGA COOKER

Introduction

Aga-Twyford is the only company that is authorised by Aga Foodservice Groupl P.L.C tp renovate Aga cookers. We do not compromise in any way on our renovation process. Once all the parts are ready, your Renovated Aga Cooker is fully pre-built in our factory and carefully checked to insure that everything is to our satisfaction. Once this checking is completed and approved by one of our engineers, your Renovated Aga Cooker is then carefully dismantled, boxed, wrapped and made ready for delivery to you in sectional form.

Quality Control

Almost all the small parts of your Renovated Aga Cooker will have been replaced with new parts purchased either direct from Aga, or manufactured to Aga-Twyfords' own high standards, for example:- grills, trays, thermometers, door liners, lid liners, main and secondary insulation, oven tunnels, back plate, sides etc. etc. The burner and control unit will be BRAND NEW.

Conclusions

We feel that your Renovated Aga Cooker when delivered to you, is of the highest quality having undergone a total strip down and rebuild. The final building and commissioning on site should therefore be a relatively smooth process, however, particularly with OIL fired Renovated Aga Cookers, there is nearly always a "settling down" period. During this period (often as long as a week) the Renovated Aga Cooker is building up heat and adjusting to its surroundings. DO NOT TRY TO RUSH THE Renovated Aga Cooker into immediate action, it will take it's own time to settle down. It is sometimes necessary for your installer to re-visit your site again to make fine adjustments, however of one thing you can be certain, and that is that the Renovated Aga Cooker itself is RARELY at fault, teething problems are normally associated with levelling, flues or other adjustments indirectly associated with the Renovated Aga Cooker which can ALMOST ALWAYS BE SORTED OUT.

Troubleshooting

Naturally, if there is ANY fault DIRECTLY ASSOCIATED with the Renovated Aga Cooker itself - First 12 months parts and labour followed by 4 years parts only ( excepting normal servicable items ). Certain conditions apply. The responsibility for the FINAL BUILDING AND COMMISSIONING ON SITE must of course rest with your INSTALLER, and while AGA-TWYFORD will provide as much technical customer support as it can, the responsibility for making your Renovated Aga Cooker run correctly in your house rests with the independent installer.

History of Success

We currently have THOUSANDS of Renovated Aga Cookers in operation throughout the UK and abroad ( France, Spain, Norway, Japan, U.S.A. etc. ). If you are in ANY DOUBT as to the quality of our renovated product or our customer service commitment, PLEASE feel free to contact us for customer references.

FINALLY, WE ARE NOT PERFECT, BUT WE TRY VERY HARD TO BE!!
